Dues and More

Twenty-seven people have signed up for our Remind! That's wonderful! It will make it easier to mass text the entire group at once. If you joined by email, it will be easier if you should update by smartphone. It appears easier to sign up by texting "@sulsc" to 81010 rather than via the link I sent earlier which broke apart in one of the forwards. I have taken the liberty of making sure that more than one person can admin the Remind. Since Muriel Haysbert is our official communications person of course she is one of the admins, along with Frances George who is our secretary and Tanya Freeman, who has also been wonderful about disseminating news and information among classmates. To receive messages, you do not need to download the Remind app to your phone.

Our treasurer and financial sec Sheldon Johnson and Anthony Beasley have been good about sending out the spreadsheet with our dues. Info was shared about dues in a recent blog entry. If you did not receive the email, click on one of their names above to request a copy.  Also if you need an explanation of our dues system or what the dues are for, please contact either of them. If you live out of town or otherwise cannot attend a quarterly meeting you can mail dues to Anthony.Click his name to request his address. This blog is unlisted but I don't want to post his address on a website. A bank account is forthcoming.

A nice plant was sent in behalf of SULS Class of '73 to the family of Autrey Ben Johnson on the home-going of his mother.

In addition,  we have been sent this email from the foundation fund for SULS:

SAVE THE DATE!

Hey Kitten Family! Join us as we kick off our Inaugural Lab Legacy Fund Campaign in the best way we know how…a great party!
With the help of alumni and community volunteer captains, we are pledging to collectively raise a total of $100,000 BEFORE our 2020 Homecoming! Funds raised will go directly to our Lab Legacy Annual Fund which supports core activities, program enrichment, and school development that tuition alone does not cover.

Founded on the principles of tradition, family, and legacy, life at Lab does not end after graduation; it continues, grows and thrives.

If you are interested in signing up to become a volunteer captain or want to know how you can get involved, please join us on February 8th from 5pm-7pm at The Grind as we roar down the road to 100K! We are excited and look forward to seeing everyone on the 8th as we work to continue the rich legacy of the Lab!

For all event inquiries, please email morgan_hillliard@subr.edu !
If you know of a classmate who is not receiving these messages, please share the link to this blog and/or how to access our Remind. You can also receive notices for the update of this blog via email by filling in the FOLLOW BY EMAIL  box over there on the right →side bar (PC view) and then clicking SUBMIT.
