Tonight's Meeting

The meeting was extremely fruitful and inclusive. You'd have been happy and proud if you were there. But then, one of the reasons for this blog is to make sure that everyone in the CO'73, whether they live nearby or far away, will know what's going on. Here's what was done-- besides eating 😊 at Juban's Restaurant:

• We decided to meet 3 times a year. We can get together for special events besides that but these will be our official meeting times in 2020: 1) Saturday, APRIL 18, 2020 at Sullivan's (with Mansur's as an alternate place if the first choice is not available). 2) AUGUST 15, 2020 at the home of Joycelyn Harrison. [TBA- in the Fall,  we will have a tailgating par-tay for the SULS Homecoming.] 3) DECEMBER 26, is tentative for a big event for everyone in and out of town at a time and place TBA.
• We decided on dues to take care of courtesy events as well as other activities. The dues come to $20 per month, $60 per meeting or $240 per year. Whether a classmate attends a meeting or not, the payments start with January and the same amount is due at the end of the year. Contact Anthony Beasley or Sheldon Johnson.
• Courtesy in cases of deaths in the family will include flowers or a plant from the class for classmates, their parents, siblings, or spouses. For other relatives that pass away, such as in-laws, cousins, etc. classmates will receive a card from the class. Flower/plant allotment is $35 and "in lieu of flowers" will be the same amount to the chosen cause.
• We chose officers and leaders as follows: 1) President (also presiding over this meeting superbly)- Rose Stewart Beals.  2) Recording Secretary - Frances George 3) Treasurer - Sheldon Johnson  4) Financial Secretary - Anthony Beasley 5) Events (Venue) Coordinator - Joycelyn Harrison.
